‘Extra Indigo’ is the “tender and heart-wrenching” lead single from the self-titled debit album from Broke House, a musical collaboration between Luke Costelloe and Roni Francois. After a few years away from music Luke had returned, abound with inspiration from a dark period in a tumultuous relationship and a selection of heartbreaking songs. Luke and I worked closely on the narrative and creative treatment for the video. We wanted to build on his emotionally charged lyrics and intricate narrative songwriting to capture the mood and story of not just this song but of the whole album - of the guilt, paranoia and regret of a relationship that’s spiralling out of control.
